Book a restaurant:
Restaurants are a great way to celebrate a special occasion because you have so many options available to you. You can book a table and have a small and intimate gathering, or you can book a few tables or even an entire room, to have a bigger celebration. The intimate setting of a restaurant means you can host events with your closest friends, or because restaurants are a family friendly environment and suitable for children, you can get your family together. Restaurants are also capable of catering to special dietary requirements, which means you can make sure everyone you invite is properly looked after.
Head to an amusement park:
A fun and enjoyable way to spend your birthday or anniversary, is to head to an amusement park. Being a year older does not mean you have to act your age, in fact, you should use your birthday to revisit your childhood and relive the carefree days you had when you were a kid. Climbing a mountain is something that appears on lots of bucket lists, but even if you’ve never particularly wanted to do that, you still channel your inner explorer and go for a hike. Take a picnic with you and a slice of birthday cake and celebrate your day being at one with nature. The good thing about going hiking is you can invite whoever you want, whether it’s a small group of friends, or a larger gathering of friends and family, this is an event that is suitable for all.
Go to the beach or book a holiday:
Some people like to celebrate their birthday on holiday with their closest friends or family, which is a magical way to spend a special occasion if you and your invitees can afford it and are able to take the time off work. If you’re not able to do this, then you could consider a day trip to the beach. Soak up the sun, bury yourself in the sand, dip your toes in the ocean, have a cocktail (or two) and spend your birthday relaxing.

An escape room is an adventure game which is designed for small groups. Together, you and your team will need to decipher clues and overcome challenges to escape a locked room within 60 minutes. This is an excellent option for people who want something enjoyable to do on a tighter budget. Plus, if you successfully manage to escape, you’ll have another thing to celebrate. This can be a great start to the evening because once you’re done, you can continue the celebrations with a drink, or two.
